It snowed in North Augusta! This morning I woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow on the ground - and it continued to snow all day - although none of it stuck :( We were just happy to see it and feel the excitement in the air that the white stuff brings. It is freezing!
Kris and I have slowed down on the house somewhat. We were both sick last weekend so after resting up we were ready to continue with the drywall; however our house had other plans. It appears that the bladder in our well pressure tank has sprung a leak & the whole tank is water logged. What does that mean? A whole lot of work for handyman Kris and tool-belt Megan. We are moving the tank to the new utility room at the same time - not fun. We hate copper! So until we get this fixed we have to run to the garage to manually turn our well pump on and off when we need to take a shower - and all other water usage is on hold. We are hoping to have it up and running by Friday so we can start making progress on the fun stuff again!

Off to the right start!
Well... so far this year is starting off on the right track! Kris and I spent the weekend working on our house. We were very thankful to have the help of Erin and Bond. The boys hung drywall while the girls worked on the drywall mud. The house is finally starting to shape up. Within a few weeks we should have paint on the walls and bamboo on the floors. We also had an adventure moving Erin's new couch and chair into her apartment. As you can see below, I was squished in between the couches and laughed like I've never laughed before.

Welcome & Happy 2009!
Happy New Year and welcome to our Carranza Family blog! As one of our 2009 resolutions, Kris & I are starting our first blog so we can keep in touch with our family & friends. Today we are celebrating our 11th year together and cannot wait to see what 2009 will bring. We are looking forward to making much progress on the house this year (while occasionally squeezing in some fun.) Check back to see pictures of our progress & our crazy Carranza adventures. We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may it bring health & happiness to all!
